About David DeBonis

David DeBonis is a writer, researcher, storyteller, and science communicator interested in the systems that shape human health and human experience.

His work brings together scientific research, writing, data, and lived experience to explore questions about health, cognition, movement, behavior, language, and the environment. He is especially interested in translating complex research into clear, useful ideas without stripping away the uncertainty and nuance that make science meaningful.

David holds a B.A. in English Writing with a background in linguistics and second-language acquisition, as well as an M.S. in Marketing and Communications. He is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach.

Professionally, his work has included science communication, biomedical research communications, data analysis, marketing, software development, and long-form writing. These experiences have shaped his approach to Synthesis Health Systems: bringing information from different disciplines together to build a more complete picture rather than searching for a single explanation.

At the center of his work is a simple belief: human health is too complex for simple answers.

Through Synthesis, David explores scientific evidence, emerging research, personal experimentation, and the relationships between biology, mind, behavior, relationships, and environment—with the goal of helping readers better understand their health and make more informed decisions about how they live.
